Conduct
We are all adults who love wrestling and want to train safely and respectfully.
-
Respect your partner and shake their hand before and after live wrestling
-
Overly aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
-
Communicate your skill level and experience to your partner.
-
Our focus is on fun, skill-building, and longevity in the sport. If you're here to prove something, this may not be the right place for you.
Additional Tips
-
Bring an extra T-shirt to change into after practice—you will sweat a lot!
-
Stay hydrated – Bring water (preferably with electrolytes).
-
Eat smart – Avoid wrestling on a full stomach. Eat several hours before practice, or have a small snack like a banana for energy.
-
Wear kneepads – If you’re unsure, the answer is yes!
-
Ease into it – If you're new, you don't have to do everything on day one. You can sit and watch if you’re not comfortable participating yet.
-
Have flip-flops/slides – Wear them when stepping off the mat during breaks.
-
Arrive 5-10 minutes early – There is a kids' class before ours, so don’t be surprised if you see them finishing up.
-
Communicate injuries – Let your partner know before drilling or live wrestling.
